98.7 WVMO is the listening app for Monona, Wisconsin's community radio station. It streams the live broadcast, shows the song and show currently on air, keeps a running list of recent airplay, and pulls local events from the station's own calendar.Built and donated for WVMO as two fully native apps rather than a shared wrapper, so each behaves like it belongs on its platform. The apps read the station's existing broadcast and calendar feeds directly — nothing to host and nothing to maintain server-side, which keeps a volunteer-run station's operating cost at zero.

The App does not ask you for any personal information. It does not require an account, a login, or a subscription, and it contains no forms, sign-ups, or contact fields.If you choose to contact the station directly using the address, phone number, or email listed at the end of this policy, we will receive whatever information you include in that message, and will use it only to respond to you.Information Collected Automatically
The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting software.Using the App does require connecting to outside services, and those services receive basic technical information — principally your device's IP address and standard connection details — as an unavoidable part of delivering a response:Triton Digital / StreamTheWorld — delivers the live audio stream and the now-playing and recently-played song information.
Google (Calendar API) — provides the events shown in the App, read from the station's public calendar.
Separately, Apple and Google distribute the App through the App Store and Google Play and may collect installation counts, device and operating system types, performance data, and crash diagnostics. This happens at the platform level rather than through the App, and the station receives it only as aggregate statistics that do not identify individual users. It is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.Information Stored on Your Device
The App does not save personal information on your device. It keeps no history, no favorites, no account, and no settings tied to you. Content shown in the App — the current song, recently played songs, and upcoming events — is retrieved fresh from the sources above each time you use it.Audio Streaming
The App streams audio over the internet. Your internet service provider or mobile carrier may collect information about your internet usage according to their own privacy policies.Streaming the station may consume mobile data if you are not connected to Wi-Fi. Standard carrier data charges may apply.Notifications
The App does not send push notifications and does not deliver marketing or promotional messages.While audio is playing, the App displays a standard playback notification on Android, and playback controls on the iOS lock screen, so you can pause or resume without opening the App. These are local media controls generated by your device — they are not messages sent to you, and they involve no collection of information.Advertising
The App contains no advertising and no advertising networks. No information is shared with advertisers.Data Security
The City of Monona uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through the App. Because the App collects no personal information, there is no personal user data stored by the station in connection with it.However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, technology, legal requirements, or operational practices.
